05. Daguerre`s present to Metternich

September – J. L. M. Daguerre, the main inventor of daguerreotype, presented to the Austrian chancellor Metternich a daguerreotype of a still life, which was, together with a picture presented to the Austrian Emperor, exhibited in Vienna. (In 1964 this daguerreotype was found at the Kynžvart chateau, and as the oldest photograph in the country was exhibited in the Interkamera exposition of the National Technical Museum. Together with another Daguerre original of unknown origins it is the most valuable and oldest photograph in the Czech lands.)
